Return to Sender was founded in 2006 by Katja Schuurman, Tessa Vos and Maarten Huijstee. During Katja’s journeys across the world, she met talented women from all walks of life, including some of the very poorest. These women don't lack the will or the talent, far from it, but they lack opportunities.

The mission of Return to Sender is to help women build a life for themselves and their families through fair and sustainable trade. By bringing the women’s goods to the Western market in a sustainable way, the women can immediately improve their living conditions and learn how they can sustain their livelihood in the future.
